Life & studies

I was born in Istanbul and grew up there. After graduating in human medicine in Istanbul, I emigrated to Vienna in 2003.

From 2003-2008, I worked as a research assistant for various research projects at the Department of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna. During this time, I also obtained the nostrification of my medical studies at the Medical University of Innsbruck. I then began my urology specialist training at the Medical University of Vienna, which I completed in November 2014 after passing the Austrian specialist examination in urology. I received the European Specialist Diploma in Urology (F.E.B.U.) in June 2015.

in 2018, I completed my second doctorate in applied medical science.

Expertise

Numerous international fellowships in endourology and laparoscopy at university hospitals in Patras (Greece), Istanbul (Turkey) and Guangzhou (China). Worked for several years as senior physician in charge of a ward at the Department of Urology, Medical University of Vienna.

My expertise covers the broad spectrum of urology: General Urology, Urodynamic Incontinence, Pediatric Urology, Endourology and Urinary Stone Disease. During my career, I have performed thousands of surgical procedures on adults and children.

Teaching and science

In April 2019, I was awarded the teaching license (venia docendi) as a private lecturer in urology by the Medical University of Vienna. Over 50 scientific contributions in the form of peer-reviewed publications, congress abstracts and book chapters. Reviewer for renowned urological journals such as Journal of Endourology, World Journal of Urology and Current Opinion in Urology.
